NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF
Resolution Declaring Emergency
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on March 25, 2020 the Town of Lamartine Board,
adopted the following resolution:
TOWN OF LAMARTINE
FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WISCONSIN
RESOLUTION DECLARING EMERGENCY
The Town Board of the Town of Lamartine, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, by this Resolution, adopted by a majority of the Town Board with quorum present and voting and proper notice having been giving, resolves and orders as follows:
A. An emergency is declared as existing within the Town of Lamartine, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, as a result of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). The Town Board, or its designated agents, has the authority to order whatever is necessary and expedient for the health, safety, welfare, and good order of the Town of Lamartine during the emergency.
B. In furtherance thereof, the Town hereby adopts the following measures:
i. During the period of emergency, all meetings of all Town entities, including but not limited to, the Town Board, Plan Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Sanitary Districts, will be conducted via electronic means.
ii. The Town Hall will be closed to the public for all activities other than activities related to the Primary Election. All other access to the Town Hall by the public will be by appointment only.
iii. Other than election matters and in-person appointments made under Subsection ii, Town officials and employees will correspond with the public telephonically, via email, or via other means that do not involve in-person interaction.
iv. The Town Chairperson may make such orders related to Town staff as he deems necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, modifying employee schedules and limiting access to Town facilities.
v. The Town Chairman and Clerk are authorized to approve vouchers for payment of the bills for the period of the emergency.
vi. Other than during the Primary Election, no groups larger than 10 are permitted at any Town facilities or parks, except for members of the Fire Department as determined by the Department.
vii. The Town will not allow rentals of the Town Hall or other Town facilities and has cancelled any pending reservations.
viii. The Town Clerk and Chief Inspector are authorized to make such orders as they deem necessary to implement the Primary Election.
ix. Town employees who have come into contact with known cases of Covid-19, show symptoms of Covid-19, or have traveled out of state must self-quarantine for a minimum of 14 days in accordance with the guidance of the CDC.
C. Any person who violates the measures described in Section B or a lawful order of the Town Board or its agents made pursuant hereto shall forfeit not less than $100 nor more than $500 with each violation constituting a separate offense.
The Town Clerk shall publish this Resolution under Wis. Stat., § 60.80. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption by the Town Board and the forfeiture and penalties shall become effective upon publication.
